IRONBARK FITNESS

Ironbark Fitness is a class based studio offering a range of different classes and training intensities for different goals.

We offer specialised classes such as RunFit, StrongFit, Barbell, Barbell Strength & Conditioning and Pilates aiming to give you a personalised class experience and class structure to support you on your training journey.

Goals

We have always been about the training. Exercise is our shared passion and is our lives. Training with us at Ironbark Fitness is more than just the classes. It’s a support system, its motivation and its accountability from us. Having two highly experienced trainers on your team, as well as the structure we have set up for the classes, will support you and optimise your time to achieve to your goals.

Using the studio

The fitness studio will be open for use 30min before the start time and 30min after the finish time for each class block for the studio to be used as open gym.

Personal Training

Personal Training will be by appointment only. One on one sessions can only be outside of class times.

CLASSES

Low - Medium impact classes

These classes are suited for beginners to intermediate. These classes ideal if you are returning from injury or returning back to exercise after time off. With a shorter training time to minimise impact on the body, the training times are 30- 40mins for these classes. Low – medium impact classes are perfect to support weight loss, lifestyle goals and creating balance in your body.

Hiit

High Intensity Interval Training for rapid weight loss and maximum calorie burn. With a mix of body weight and equipment, these are our staple sessions for all fitness levels.

abt

Abs, Butt & Thighs is a low impact- maximum burn class. This class focuses on targeted areas to help shapen, tighten and strengthen. Using a mix of body weight and resistance bands this class is perfect if you are just starting back into exercise or pre/post natal.

PILATES

Learn how to create body awareness and work deep into your core to help strengthen and support your hips and lower back. Working with your breath, you will learn how to activate your core and develop better movement quality. This class is great for starting back into exercise, if you have an injury or are pre/post natal.

STRETCH

Increasing blood flow allows your muscles to heal and repair through our stretch classes. Increase your range of movement and relax into a mental time out. Great for everyone.

Medium - High impact classes

These medium to high impact classes are perfect if you are looking to change your body. Lose weightand build muscle. They are also a great way to increase your work capacity and training load. Comealong and get fitter, stronger and lose weight with these classes.

BARBELL

A weight training class focused on either lower body, upper body, or full body. This class is a strength training session with hypertrophy training blocks to build your muscle. Focused support to help your alignment, posture and technique, this class will help your body adapt and grow, get stronger and can also assist with weight loss.

BARBELL STRENGTH & CONDITIONING

A high intensity weight training class incorporating light- medium weights, high volume and maximum burn. This class is suited for everyone looking to get fitter, stronger, and drop weight.

BOXING

High intensity boxing for fitness. This is a great class to increase your cardio capacity, increase your workout intensity to aid in weight loss. Perfect to come and develop new skills and work hard, with minimal impact on knees and ankles.

BOOTCAMP

Great for everyone. Our signature Bootcamps are full body high intensity training sessions. Held every Saturday morning, they are a great way to start the weekend.

Speciality classes

RunFIT and StrongFIT are our speciality classes designed to develop a particular skill. These classes are tailored towards specific goals and give you the tools within your training to take your training to the next level. Dialing in on the specific adaptions, training load, and intensity, these classes offer advanced training.

RUNFIT

Endurance is just sustained strength. This class offers specific strength training for runners, cyclists, adventure racers and weekend athletes. Focusing on stability, speed, and joint strength it’s perfect for your hips, knees and ankles. This class does not contain running but rather strength work to help create the adaptations to become a better runner or endurance athlete. If you are training for a specific event or are looking at running your first 10km. This is the class for you.

STRONGFIT

An elite class ideal for people with training experience. The class is an advanced 1 hr session incorporating push, pull, squat, lift, drag, jump, flip, twist, and run elements. This class has a mandatory entry requirement to ensure you have a sufficient level of strength, core, stability and skill level before you are allowed to attend this class.

I completed my Personal Training certifications in October 2010 and worked as a PT and nutrition coach at Fernwood Loganholme for 4 years. I managed Jetts Mt Gravatt for 12months before moving to Goodlife Beenleigh as a personal trainer and class instructor for the following 5 years. Through 2020 I have been running my personal training business as a home based studio and co-owning Blended Bootcamp which started at the end of March. 

For me, health and fitness is so much more than just exercise. It’s an entire, holistic package. It’s your body, your mind, nutrition, self-care and nature.

I started as a Personal Trainer at Jetts Capalaba and worked there for 5 years before moving to Goodlife Health Club Beenleigh where I worked there as a Personal Trainer and a class instructor for another 5 years. Through 2020 I have been running an outdoor Personal Training business and co-owning Blended Bootcamp which started at the end of March. 

I have a passion for trail running and live to exercise. I love training my clients and helping them change their lives.
